Abstract

The article examines the formats and aspects of the implementation of educational and upbringing functions by television in China and Belarus, similarities and differences in strategies for the implementation of content by universal and specialized TV channels of both countries. Currently, there are no specialized Belarusian-made children’s and youth-oriented TV channels at the national level in Belarus, and specialized Russian-made TV channels presented in the study. At the same time, China currently has a sufficient number of specialized TV channels for children and youth audiences. The broadcast content is predominantly Chinese-made or foreign, translated into Chinese. Special attention is paid to the aspects of the transmission of moral values and social norms, the dissemination of cultural and scientific knowledge, the involvement of children in knowledge and the formation of children’s ability to self-knowledge and explore the outside world. Studying the experience of implementing educational television in China, as well as the implementation of joint programs, will have a beneficial impact on the development of television in both countries, on the education and formation of the younger generation of China and Belarus.
