Abstract

Scientific and technological progress improves the technical component of products, improves the quality of manufactured products, expands sales markets and makes competition global, changes our understanding of the quality of life and the requirements for the subject environment around us. The values of consumers under the influence of technical and technological changes, the expansion of consumption opportunities also change. All these transformations must be taken into account in the development of business models for new products to increase their competitiveness. The article considers the concept and principles of forming the competitiveness of products, analyzes the factors of competitiveness. To develop a methodology for managing competitiveness, a value approach is proposed that combines the product value chain and the value creation chain, a definition and a scheme for the formation of product value are given, and methods for the formation and management of consumer value at the stages of the product life cycle are indicated. The value approach can become the basis for developing a methodology for calculating the competitiveness of a product, which will take into account consumer assessment and the organizational capabilities of an enterprise to create competitive advantages.
