Abstract

The conditions for the functioning of the modern upholstered furniture market highlight the problem of the rapid production of competitive products, primarily due to the intensification of production and increasing the aesthetic properties of upholstered furniture, its comfort and ease of use. Such properties, formed in the process of creating a new model, occupy one of the first places in terms of importance for consumers in the overall quality system of upholstered furniture (despite the fact that the individual needs of people are very diverse). These indicators can be determined and evaluated by the organoleptic method using standard organs human senses: visual, olfactory and auditory. The organoleptic method is used to determine the quality indicators of upholstered furniture, since the use of these products has an emotional impact on the consumer. One of the important problems in determining the quality of upholstered furniture is the determination of the weight of indicators of individual properties. However, organoleptic indicators and their weightiness have not yet been sufficiently developed and are not quantitatively measurable. The article outlines an approach to establishing the range of organoleptic quality indicators of upholstered furniture and determining their weight, which allows solving the problem of improving the quality of upholstered furniture not only at the implementation stage, but also manufacturing and developing new samples. For this, expert methods of ranking and direct evaluation were used, the effectiveness of which largely depends on the competence of the evaluating experts and the consistency of their opinions on the issues under study.
