Abstract

This article considers children’s and teenagers periodicals as an independent type of mass media publications, which is a special area closely related to the problems of the development of literature, journalism, fine arts, public and artistic life, as well as the level of polygraphy and the technical capabilities. In this study, when considering the aspect of development the artistic and technical design of periodicals, quality criteria were identified that relate both to the general idea, the concept of a certain publication, and to individual sets of elements. On the basis of the various studied scientific works, as well as own research, a list of quality criteria was proposed that most comprehensively reflects the process of developing a graphic model and artistic and technical design of children's and teenagers media.
