Abstract

In the general structure of the national system of higher pedagogical education a significant place was and is occupied by correspondence training of pedagogical staff. Part-time and full-time forms of teacher training with higher education have much in common and above all it is the purpose and content of education. At the same time, distance pedagogical education is characterized by specificity, which is expressed in the organization and methodology of the educational process. During the ninety years of functioning in the distance pedagogical education of the republic there have been significant changes in both quantitative and qualitative characteristics. It is essential to understand and solve existing problems, determine ways to further develop distance learning teachers is to study the relevant historical experience of its formation and development. Unfortunately, the history of the higher correspondence pedagogical school of Belarus has not been thoroughly and thoroughly researched yet. In this article, the author analyzes the preconditions for the formation and development of higher distance pedagogical education in the republic on the basis of a study of archival sources, mostly previously unpublished.
