Abstract

The article discusses the specifics of the functioning of the regional media space. The material for the study was the websites of Belarusian regional newspapers, as well as their accounts in social networks and instant messengers. In recent years, regional media have been undergoing a transformation process, changing their approaches to providing information and introducing new digital technologies. The research identified and characterized the most important factors that increase the effectiveness of journalistic creativity on the Internet. Technologies have been developed to improve the efficiency of the media in the context of digitalization. It is shown that regional media need to quickly adapt to the conditions of a multi-platform environment, which will allow them to increase their audience. The author comes to the conclusion that retaining the attention of readers, meeting their needs and interests in the digital environment is becoming an increasingly complex and multifaceted task that requires new knowledge and competencies from journalists.
