Abstract

The introduction of the Belarusian language into information technologies, the creation of electronic dictionaries and new programs for improving text materials is an urgent task today and does not lose its relevance, thanks to the constant expansion of the role of computerization in human life. Therefore, the basic techniques and methods adopted in the technology of literary editing – a launching pad for the prosperity of editorial talent and author's creativity-are supplemented by the use of modern computer technology achievements. The article is devoted to the review of online tools for editing text information in the Belarusian language. Foreign and domestic computer-linguistic tools for improving the quality of texts are considered in detail: spell checking, stylistic compliance and combating plagiarism-their advantages and disadvantages are revealed. Special attention is paid to the developments of the speech recognition and synthesis laboratory of the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, an updated method of proofreading texts using a number of platform services is provided corpus.by. Recommendations are given on the implementation of these tools in the daily practical activities of editors, proofreaders and authors, the circumstances that need to be paid attention to when using them are outlined.
