Abstract

The aim of the work was to study the quality indicators of Scots pine essential oil growing in different regions of the Republic of Belarus, and to assess their stability in order to predict industrial use. Samples of woody greenery of Scots pine (Pínus silvéstris L.) growing on the territory of national parks of the Republic of Belarus were taken. An assessment of the degree of contamination of needles with toxic elements and radionuclides was carried out. Essential oil was isolated from woody green samples, the qualitative and quantitative composition was studied by GLC and NMR spectroscopy methods. The content of 25 components in Scots pine essential oil was quantitatively measured, the total content of which was 77.4–77.9% of the total content of the oil components. The main components are 3-carene, camphene, limonene, myrcene, terpinolene, α-pinene, β-pinene, caryophyllene, they account for more than half of the total content of essential oil components. As a result of the analysis of the quantitative yield of the components, it was found that the component composition of the essential oil in the selected samples is stable.
