Anton Vladimirovich Vavilov (Minsk, Belarus)

Born in 1949, Belarusian, higher education. In 1971graduated from the Belarusian Technological Institute named after S. M. Kirov (since 1993-the Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU)). Doctor of Technical Sciences since 1991, scientific title "Professor" since 1992. Anton Vladimirovich is the head of the Department of "Mechanization and Automation of road construction complex" of BSTU (Belarusian State Technical University) since 1988 (previously the Department of "Construction and Road Machines"). From 1996 to 2000, worked as the Vice-rector for Academic work of the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA).

- member of the Board of the Association of Construction Universities of the CIS countries (1997),

- Chairman of the Councils of educational and Methodological associations of universities of the Republic of Belarus for education in the field of transport, architecture and construction (1997),

- Member of the International Advisory Scientific and Technical Council (Moscow Government-Minsk City Executive Committee) (1997).

In 1996, was elected an academician of the Belarusian Mining Academy.

In 1997 was elected an academician of the Belarusian Engineering Academy.

Since 1999, has been a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.

Since 1999, he has been an Academician of the Handling and Transport Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Since 2001 President, then General Director of the Belarusian Public Scientific Association of Creators of Technological Machines.

The winner of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For outstanding contribution to the development of higher education and science" (2000).

For the achieved results in the field of scientific, technical and innovative activities, he was awarded:

- medal "For contribution to road science»,

- honorary diploma of the Minsk City Executive Committee (2020),

- badge "Excellent student of Education" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus (2009),

- badge "Honorary Road Worker of Belarus" (2000),

- honorary certificates of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus (1999), the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus (1999) and numerous honorary certificates of BSPA-BSTU (Belarusian State Technical University.

- Outstanding Teacher of the Year and Intellectual of the 21st Century (International Biographical Center in Cambridge (2004-2006).

 

The author of 10 monographs, 12 study guides, 7 educational guides, 2 electronic methodological complexes, more than 400 articles, more than 50 author's certificates of the USSR and patents of the Republic of Belarus.

Has trained 1 doctor of science, 2 candidates and more than 40 masters of technical sciences. Currently, directs the scientific work of 4 postgraduate students. Is the head of the scientific school in the field of development of scientific bases for creating a system of resource-saving technological machines and specific machines for promising production technologies.
