Abstract

Geopolitical transformations of the modern world are accompanied by the growth of interstate contradictions and the increase of various types of force pressure. A constant type of violence in the system of international relations and military-political component is information violence, called information warfare. The basis of the military organisation of the state as an instrument of military policy is the military personnel, ensuring information security of which is the most important condition for the stable functioning of the military sphere of national security. The essence of information warfare is shown, the main goals, tasks, principles and functions of protection of servicemen from destructive information and psychological impact of the enemy are disclosed. The forms, forces and means of solving the problem of information security of the personnel are considered. It is emphasised that measures to protect servicemen from the information-psychological impact of the enemy should be carried out continuously and systematically. The most important element of ensuring information security of military personnel is the formation of their historical self-consciousness, which is based on the ideas of patriotism. The basic principles of the system of countering destructive information influence on servicemen are revealed. The main tasks of state and military administration bodies in the field of information counteraction are highlighted. It is concluded that in the conditions of chaotic international relations it is important to comprehensively improve the military sphere of national security, focusing special attention on the ideological sphere of servicemen and their moral and psychological readiness to carry out tasks as intended.
