Abstract
In the article based on a number of criteria – the development of trade, transport and military art, the article proposes an original scientifically determined periodization of the evolution of logistics, consisting of 7 historical periods/ I period. 4th millennium – Ist millennium AD; II period: the Ist millennium A.D. – the beginning of the 15 century; III period: the end of 15 - the end of 19 centuru; 4 period: the beginning of the 20 century – the beginning of the 1950s.; V period: Mid-1950s – early 1980s; VI period: late 1980s – early 2000s; VII period: the 2010s are our time. The proposed periodization reflects the global course of its development from the 4th millennium BC to the present. It is noted that the historiography of logistics at the present stage is insignificant, and the problems of periodization of the evolution of logistics have not actually been studied in historical science. It is emphasized that logistical approaches were actually used mainly in the military field until the middle of the twentieth century. It is indicated that in the modern period, there is a widespread introduction of innovative information technologies, artificial intelligence into the logistics sector, and logistical approaches will be applied in previously unusual areas: medicine, education, politics. It is concluded that the proposed periodization fully reflects the evolution of global logistics.
