Abstract

The activity of any enterprise is to produce various products and sell them to final consumers. The fulfilmentof such a task is impossible without costs, as they are one of the main indicators of activity. In the process of making managerial decisions, cost information is important, which leads to the choice of options for action. The problem of cost management and finding the most profit-oriented forms and content is of particular importance. In the real functioning of sustainable development mechanisms, there is an inevitable need to improve and create a clear system of accounting and control of production costs and product costing within the framework of management accounting. Progressive cost control methods are not widely used. The organizational structure of cost management is poorly adapted to market dynamics. One of the ways to solve this problem is the development and implementation of the cost management mechanism in the practice of enterprises, which entails the search for scientific approaches to the choice of methods and ways of targeted impact on the process of cost formation in the course of production. The importance of solving this problem determined the choice of the topic of this article. The article formulates the concept of cost management, which would take into account the specifics of the production of chemical products, allowing to optimally organize the business process and thus substantiate the trends of sustainable development of the enterprise.
