Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of technological security and intellectual property protection in China’s high-tech industry on the example of China’s LED industry in 2020. The article also analyzes the current market situation and the trend of technological development of China’s LED industry, including the influence of Western countries on developing countries, including China, in terms of the presence of technological monopoly in high-tech industries. In this paper, the status of China’s high-tech industry is proposed to be measured by a threedimensional technology security evaluation system, which takes into account three parameters – applied technology, market condition and policy factors, making the evaluation more complete and accurate. In addition, a practical assessment of the technological security of China’s LED industry in 2020 is carried out, diagnosing the level of technological security and identifying the existing risks in the industry. Measures are proposed to strengthen technological security in four key areas: technological innovation, intellectual property protection, technological security risk management and the expansion of the international market of China’s high-tech industry. Finally, the article emphasizes that strengthening the protection of industrial intellectual property, especially in high-tech industries, is of great significance to China’s national security and economic development against the backdrop of intensifying global technological competition.
