Abstract

The Republic of Belarus is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The digital policy of the EAEU is aimed at forming a single digital space. The analysis of the level of digitalization in the EAEU member states based on statistical digital indicators is interesting for finding threats and opportunities for creating a single digital space of the EAEU. Previously, we conducted research: to determine the country-specific features of digitalization in the EAEU member states according to international digital development ratings [1], to assess the level of digitalization in the EAEU member states using indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) [2]. This article is a continuation of the study and includes a comparative assessment of the level of digitalization in the EAEU member states according to national statistical indicators. The purpose of the study is to select statistical indicators and assess the level of digitalization in the EAEU member states (including Belarus) to identify threats to the development of the digital economy. The article examines the development of digital economy statistics (world experience, the experience of the EAEU) and identifies key issues of this process; analyzes the digital development of the EAEU; selects comparable statistical digital indicators and assesses the level of digital development of the EAEU member states; identifies threats to the development of the digital economy at the level of the EAEU integration grouping.
