Abstract

The article discusses the analytical media strategies of the republican socio-political publications (publishing house “Belarus Segodnya”) in the time of the nationwide discussion of the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. Quantitative data of the total number of analytical materials, used genres, involved experts, obtained from the results of content analysis, are analyzed. The purpose of the study is to determine what analytical media strategies were used during the nationwide discussion by the leading republican socio-political media with different target audiences, which determined the opinions of a wide range of readers. An optimal analytical strategy for the coverage of significant socio-political events by the republican socio-political media is formulated. It is noted that in the situation of information war and external information and political pressure, the relevance of the issue of preserving and improving the quality of the journalistic product has increased. According to the author, the use of the media in media texts when covering significant public events with the given strategies with the parameters given in the conclusions can help improve the quality of the journalistic product associated with the interpretation of important state events, which would subsequently strengthen the interaction between journalists and the readership, and would also ensure the protection of the national security interests of the Belarusian state. The importance of using analytical tools in general when forming public opinion on significant issues in society is noted.
