Abstract

In the era of global transformations taking place in the 21st century, the media become a central platform for presenting and deepening the strategic partnership between Belarus and China. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the growing level of cooperation between Belarus and China in the sphere of information policy. The article examines the contribution of Belarusian mass media to the strengthening of intercultural and information ties between Belarus and the People’s Republic of China. The article analyzes the main agreements between Belarus and China in the field of regulation of information exchange between the two countries. Particular attention is paid to the way the state-owned Belarusian mass media, mainly of socio-political orientation, such as BELTA, newspapers “SB. Belarus’ segodnya” and “Respublika” newspapers present Belarusian-Chinese relations in the intercultural aspect. The study reflects how the mass media contribute to the joint cultural enrichment of the two countries, preservation of spiritual traditions and creation of a favorable environment for personal growth. It reveals how the media coverage of cooperation between China and Belarus reflects the strategic interests and efforts of the two countries to reduce distance and cultural differences in order to serve as an example of productive intercultural exchange.
