Improving the quality of educational and methodological support for higher education is still one of the main directions for improving the student training system of the Belarusian State University of Transport is the largest educational and scientific center in the structure of the transport and construction complexes of the Republic of Belarus, and, accordingly, almost the only publisher of educational literature in these areas. It can also be noted that educational literature is being published for the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of managers and specialists of the transport complex of the Republic of Belarus. The issues of the quality of the educational book, its content, form and manner of presenting the material of the academic discipline remain relevant. In this article, an analysis of educational book publishing for students was carried out using the example of the Publishing Center of the Belarusian State University of Transport at the present stage, and the thematic and specific structure of educational literature was given, taking into account the specifics of the disciplines taught at the university. It is concluded that it is necessary to expand the types and topics of the textbook for the study of modern transport and technological machines and complexes, rolling stock of railway transport, industrial and civil construction, organization and management of transport, and the military sphere.
