Abstract

The article is dedicated to the issues of the establishment of physical culture and sports in Belarus. It reveals the role of Vsevobuch, the Komsomol, trade unions, physical culture organizations and societies in the physical training of the population. The article highlights the organization of sports events of various levels and the establishment of the first sports grounds, stations, military sports clubs, and circles in Belarus. The foundation of the Supreme Council of Physical Culture ensured the unification and coordination of educational, scientific and managerial activities of organizations to engage the population in sports and physical culture, thereby giving it a mass character. The author examines the establishment of a system for training scientific, pedagogical and professional personnel for the physical education of the Belarusian population.
