Abstract

The article analyzes the activities of the Minsk customs, since its restoration from the customs post to the customs in 1975. Vivid examples of the labor successes of Minsk customs officers in the course of customs control are given. There is a constant increase in the importance of the Minsk Customs in the system of customs authorities of the BSSR and the USSR, which resulted in the possibility of forming on its basis the central and largest Belarusian territorial customs in Soviet Belarus (1987–1990). It is concluded that economic reforms in the USSR of the second half of the 1980s formed a large and infrastructurally developed customs institution out of it. This allowed the Minsk Customs to fully correspond to the status of the central customs, located in the most economically developed region of the republic, in terms of its significance and development by 1991.
