Abstract

In the modern economic system, ratings of countries, regions, organizations have become an important information tool for establishing and maintaining business relations within the framework of economic activity and regulating business communication. The concept of “rating” is becoming a soughtafter business asset in all spheres of life, including in construction.

The article presents the prerequisites for the creation and functioning of rating systems in the construction sector of foreign countries. A comparative analysis of the implemented industry rating systems in the domestic markets of the EAEU member countries, such as the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, is presented. Similar problematic issues are identified that require the introduction of a rating assessment of the competitiveness of construction organizations in the Republic of Belarus. For these purposes, the theoretical foundations for applying the rating assessment of the competitiveness of construction organizations are proposed, including the definition of the concept of “rating assessment of the competitiveness of construction organizations” and the formation of the author’s system of rating assessment of the competitiveness of construction organizations. The proposed scope of using the rating at the state level, the level of the customer, the level of the construction organization itself and at the level of credit and financial institutions is indicated.

The introduction of a rating system for assessing the competitiveness of construction organizations in the construction complex will improve the quality level of the choice of a construction organization, increase the information openness of the construction industry, strengthen the responsibility of market participants for the quality of their activities and develop new approaches to the admission of construction entities to the markets of the EAEU member countries.
