Abstract

The possibilities of using biometric identification and electronic digital signature in modern documents are considered. The article presents actual ways to protect documents (electronic and paper), taking into account their positive and negative assessments. The topic of the article is relevant, since with the development of information technologies, cases of forgery of both electronic documents and paper documents have become more frequent, which causes significant damage to the economy of the Republic of Belarus.

In turn, the introduction of new information protections, as well as the development of functional capabilities of existing infrastructure elements of e-government, will greatly simplify information interaction between citizens, business and the state through the use of modern secure digital solutions, eliminating the need for personal visits to government agencies and other institutions.
