When choosing equipment with many different characteristics, it is difficult to accurately assess the quality of devices. The solution of this problem is possible with the use of a method for determining a generalized indicator of equipment quality, which allows assessing the advantages and disadvantages of equipment, makes it possible to select devices based on a significant number of economic and technical parameters. Using this method involves performing certain calculations that can be automated using software robots. Despite the fact that software robots are a no-go in the organization of modern business processes, various software platforms for creating robots are currently being developed. This article proposes to use the Power Automate Desktop platform, since it is free and easy to learn. The method of creating a software robot in which the method of determining a generalized quality indicator of equipment is implemented is shown on the example of selecting electrical lighting equipment. Lighting fixtures manufactured by numerous enterprises have a significant range of technical parameters, which makes it difficult to select the right devices. The use of software robots on a computer in calculations makes it easy to compare options for choosing equipment.
