Abstract

This article discusses several aspects related to the daily life of the first teachers of the Belarusian State University. Teachers of higher education were engaged not only in educational activities, but also carried out extensive methodological work related to writing textbooks, compiling work and curricula. They were directly involved in the management of an educational institution (management of a department, faculty, laboratory, etc.). At the same time, the life of a university employee took place not only in classrooms, but also outside of it. Everyone faced the need to satisfy the usual needs (food, clothing, shoes, etc.), raise children, and solve many household issues. Based on the analysis of a wide range of documents, the author emphasizes that the features of everyday life influenced the pedagogical and scientific activities of the teaching staff of higher education.
