Abstract

The article discusses the main stages of the formation of the concept of innovative development of the Republic of Belarus. Innovation at the present stage is a necessary given for the successful development of the country. Moreover, the active use and implementation of innovations concerns not only enterprises and organizations, but also the entire national economy of the country. The state innovation policy is an integral part of the socio-economic policy of the state. It defines the attitude of the state to innovation activity, defines the main forms and methods of activity of the state and public authorities in the field of science, technology, as well as ways to implement these achievements. The State Innovation Policy of the Republic of Belarus provides for accelerated innovative development of the economy by reducing the technical and technological gap in a number of sectors of the national economy. It is also supposed to increase the efficiency of the management system of scientific, technical and innovative activities. The innovation policy of the Republic of Belarus is quite young in its formation and development. It takes into account not only the peculiarities of the development and formation of the Belarusian state, but also global trends. However, today it is already possible to identify several state programs that were adopted and contributed to the development of the national economy and the state.
