Abstract

The article presents the results of a sociological study dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War among the youth of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, implemented by a joint research team of the Kuban State University and the Belarusian State Technological University in AprilMay 2021. A comparative analysis of the survey results for two samples (Russian and Belarusian) showed the presence of a number of common affective and cognitive elements in the structure of historical memory, while there were differences in the level of youth involvement in commemorative practices associated with the Great Patriotic War.
