Abstract

The article substantiates the concept of “cultural and information space” as one of the key components in the construction of integral models of future socio-cultural development in the context of globalization. A retrospective analysis of the existing models of global development, both foreign and domestic authors, is carried out, which took into account the influence of such factors as resource and raw materials, demographic, geopolitical, etc. Among such models, the models of global development World-2 and World-3 by J. Forrester and D. Meadows, a mathematical model created by a group of Soviet scientists led by Academicians D. M. Gvishiani and N. N. Moiseev, geopolitical scenarios for the development of American researchers Z. Brzezinski and G. Friedman. At the same time, in a number of such studies, insufficient attention was paid to the technical and technological factor, which at the present stage of socio-cultural development is key, in particular, it concerns information and communication technologies (ICT). All global transformations that are taking place in culture today become possible precisely thanks to the emergence and development of ICT and their synergistic unity with culture. Through such cooperative interaction, the effect of globalization is manifested today, which gives rise to the construction of future models of socio-cultural development not only to take into account these factors, but to consider it as a key one.
