It is noted that the formation of a patriotic need and its satisfaction is associated with the highest level of personality development, especially in the socio-spiritual and moral terms. In this regard, special attention is required to the factors of formation of citizenship and patriotism for young people as the most progressive and promising part of the modern Belarusian society.
The author analyzes such factors as the parental family, the relationship between the citizen and the state, the individual and society, labor activity. It is pointed out that healthy and warm relationships in the family create healthy and warm relationships in society. It is in the family that self-esteem is formed, which is the fundamental principle of a person’s inner freedom, spiritual character and “healthy citizenship”.
Attitude to work is considered as an indicator of a person’s patriotism, since patriotism in peacetime is measured, including by the degree of readiness to take place professionally, so that, satisfying his material and spiritual needs, a person realizes the importance of his work for the prosperity and strengthening of society.
