Abstract

The article examines the content of the basic concepts of human development: “basic needs”, “redistribution through growth”, “human capital”, “human development”, “endogenous growth”, etc. The main goal of development is to create a life-friendly environment that includes the opportunity to live a long and healthy life, acquire knowledge and have access to resources, have guaranteed rights, etc. The abovementioned concepts are analyzed according to the criterion of completeness of features that meet these requirements.

The specifics of the impact of technological and innovative changes on human development are determined. The processes of modernization of the economic sphere associated with scientific and technological transformations in society are considered. It is shown that the basis of human development in the new conditions is the level of education, the share of highly qualified intellectual work.

It is concluded that the assessment of the sustainable development of technology and society, their coevolution are related to the issues of the scope of application of technology, the study of its social and environmental consequences.
