Abstract

Today, eco-tourism is one of the priority directions of the development of the tourism industry in the Republic of Belarus. Ecotourism, as a special form of travel in which recreation in nature is combined with the knowledge of its objects and phenomena, can be carried out within the boundaries of specially protected natural areas (SPNA): nature reserves, national parks, wildlife preserve and natural monuments, as well as outside the boundaries of SPNA, due to the development of agroecotourism. Protected areas occupy 9% of the territory of the Republic of Belarus and are recognized at the international level, which determines their high value for eco-tourism. The most active development of ecotourism takes place on the territory of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and national parks of the Republic of Belarus. Agroecotourism is one of the most successful types of eco-tourism in the Republic of Belarus, allowing tourists to get acquainted with the authentic culture and local traditions. Currently, there is a positive trend in the development of agroecotourism: an increase in the number of subjects and the number of tourists served by the subjects.

In this article, on the basis of statistical data, the analysis of indicators of tourist activity in the Republic of Belarus, in particular agroecotourism, is carried out. The main trends in the development of eco-tourism in protected areas are considered. A set of measures for the development of ecological tourism in the Republic of Belarus on specially protected natural territories in various directions, as well as agroecotourism, is proposed.
