Abstract

The issue of spiritual and moral education of modern children is one of the key problems of modern society. The rapidly developing information environment suppresses the development of such personal qualities, the ability to be compassionate and merciful, to think independently and make decisions, to be creative and creative.

This problem can only be solved by joint and coordinated efforts of all social institutions, including the church. The Belarusian Orthodox Church participates in all spheres of the family, social and state life of the people.

The article deals with the political aspects, the role and opportunities of the Belarusian Orthodox Church in the implementation of educational tasks related to ensuring the ideological self-determination of the individual, the formation of the value system of the younger generation. The contribution of Orthodox book publishing to the moral, ecological and aesthetic education of children is shown. The content and type analysis of Orthodox serial publications for children is carried out.
