Abstract

This article describes physico-chemical properties of fluffy sphagnum peat such as appearance, humidity, ash content, the content of organic substances and free humic acids, the concentration of hydrogen ions in an aqueous suspension of peat. Based on the data obtained, recommendations are given on the use of fluffy sphagnum peat. High-moor peat is optimal raw material for the preparation of humic biologically active preparations used in animal husbandry.
