Abstract

The article develops an idea of the content and functions of human needs in the context of the preservation and reproduction of the biosphere organization of life, including humans as a biological species formed in the process of historical evolution of the biosphere. It is noted that the evolution of man in the era of the heyday of Homo sapiens and its transformation into a monopolist species was correlated with the global development of its constructive activity and the creation of a qualitatively new living environment in the form of expansion of the sociocultural sphere and the ever-expanding technosphere. The biological prerequisites for both have developed in the structure of the biosphere. It is especially emphasized that in the adaptation of many species of animal organisms the so-called echnique of life” (V. I. Vernadsky) is formed, which performs the functions of safety and preservation of life from external adverse effects of various phenomena. The choice of the substantive nature of the article, which reveals the various functions of human needs in the biosphere organization of life, is determined by the methodological approach to establishing the connection between the essence of needs and V. I. Vernadsky’s conceptual ideas about the forms of biogenic migration of chemical elements and its role as the main feature of the organization of the biosphere. This approach made it possible to identify aspects of human needs aimed at preserving the biosphere organization of life, which have not received adequate coverage in modern literature on current issues of sustainable development, and the concept of the same name itself does not reveal the deep objective foundations of human vital needs, and this is one of the reasons for insufficient rationalism its methodological effectiveness. An attempt to clarify the objective ontological mechanism of “participation” in preserving the biosphere organization of life of human needs is a fundamental question for substantiating the possibilities of co-evolutionary regulation of relations between society and nature, the spontaneous formation of which led to an environmental crisis
